Sizzling Book Club Pick for November: Unclaimed by Courtney Milan

Sizzling Book ClubIf you tuned in to last week’s book chat, you know that our November book club selection is Courtney Milan’s Unclaimed!

Book CoverUnclaimed is the sequel to Unveiled, our February book club selection, and it’s as marvelous as the first book in the Turner series.

Here’s the summary: Handsome, wealthy and respected, Sir Mark Turner is the most sought-after bachelor in all of London—and he’s known far and wide for his irreproachable character. But behind his virtuous reputation lies a passionate nature he keeps carefully in check…until he meets the beautiful Jessica Farleigh, the woman he’s waited for all his life.

But Jessica is a courtesan, not the genteel lady Sir Mark believes. Desperate to be free of a life she despises, she seizes her chance when Mark’s enemies make her an offer she can’t refuse: seduce Mark and tarnish his good name, and a princely sum will be hers. Yet as she comes to know the man she’s sworn to destroy, Jessica will be forced to choose between the future she needs…and the love she knows is impossible.

As usual, if you use SBTBARE at checkout, you will get a 50% eBook Bucks Rebate at AllRomance.com, the official sponsor of the Sizzling Book Club. The 50% rebate at AllRomance will be valid from November 1-15, 2011. The after rebate price is $3.50 – spiffy! You can also buy a paperback copy at Amazon, or wherever you like to go book shopping.

PLUS, since November is a tricky month with vacations, turkeys, and lots of days off, I’ve already scheduled the book club chat!

The Sizzling Book Club Chat will be held on November 30, 2011, at 9PM ET. Milan will join us at 10PM ET to answer questions, too. YAY!

I love the button, thank you!  And I’m really looking forward to the book chat.  Thanks for organizing all this!

  2. Karenmc says:

The end of the month is great! That gives me time to re-read the book and think about a problem I had on the first read.

  3. SB Sarah says:

@Carin – I am so glad the button is useful. I’m trying to use it more and more, as people have told me how handy it is to have their phones and desktop calendars give them a nudge for book-related events!

The Google button is also giving me Schemes to Think About for Larger Projects. Mwaaaahahaha.

And yes – there’s a LOT of time to read, and re-read the book. I find with Milan’s books, more becomes evident the longer I have to ponder and think about them!

    *squee!!*

Sorry, I just finished this book. I picked it up when it was on your top ten list earlier and OMG whee! So, I enjoyed it to say the least. Conflicted heroine who wants to be good but can be seen as bad? Male chastity? Fun, and especially palate cleansing after the Heavenly Hosts books.

I, of course, am reading things out of order. I should pick up the first and third now since I liked this one so much. And there was the other one she wrote that’s not related but is also an Un…locked? Unveiled? it was a short story and so fun…

  5. Kristyn says:

I’m really excited about this chat!

  6. Love the button!  I just added this onto my Google calendar.  Thanks, and I’m looking forward to the book chat.

  7. Petra says:

Oh no! I’m not allowed to buy it because of my location D:

  8. Kaetrin says:

Such a great book, I’m looking forward to the chat. I read it out of order too. I actually ended up liking Unveiled even more. I’ll save all the rest for the chat? Do you think Ms. Milan will join in?

  9. Kaetrin says:

Doh! Just read the post properly and I can see ta Courtney will indeed be there.
Thx for the button Sarah. It even worked out what time it will be here in Adelaide when it’s on. It turns out that the chat will happen on my day off around lunch so I will be able to join in.

  10. SB Sarah says:

Kaetrin – that’s awesome! I’ll be so excited to see you there. I love when time zones align correctly!

Petra: What? Oh no! I’m sorry! Crapmonkeys.

I’m so pleased you guys like the button. It’s super easy to create and since I use reminders for just about everything, it makes sense to add them.

  11. Kata says:

Is the mystery book “That Rana Look” by Sandra Brown?

  12. CarrieS says:

Finally a book club I think I can finally attend!  also, can I just say THANK YOU for the advance notice re the Book Club date.  I really like to know the date as far ahead of time as possible since I am often scrounging for the book at the library, used book stores, Amazon – and if I know the date ahead of time I know how much time I have to do all that and when I should cut my losses and buy the book.  Can’t wait for this read as I LOVED Milan’s last book – it is now one of my all time favs.

  13. lisa says:
