This past weekend, since it was a long one (and I'd be off today, too, if I still lived in Pittsburgh, as the schools close for the first day of hunting season) (not even kidding), I read a TON of books. My brain is so happy.

Now I need to read more. What are you looking forward to reading – or what did you enjoy this past holiday weekend?

I just read the Tessa Dare novella (which I got from ARe) and loved it! Definitely not the last story I’ll read from this author. Violet is a great character.

Last week I read Jennifer Ashley’s Bodyguard (Shifters Unbound 2.5) – I was so glad that there were no geographical restrictions on that title, despite the main series being from a mainstream publisher.

  2. Sharmila Falzon says:

I have just finished reading Inner Harbour by Nora Roberts—well written book, though I am not sold on modern romance. Hmmm… is it me or the book? Anyone else thought this book was a bit ‘bleh’ or do I just need to read more modern romance novels to get ‘into the swing of things’.. suggestions anyone?

  3. Carin says:

@Sharmila F – I’m not a huge Nora fan, but I really enjoy Jill Shalvis (try her Instant trilogy) or Victoria Dahl (Talk Me Down is my favorite).

Right now I’m reading Good Girls Don’t by Victoria Dahl and really loving it.  I just finished Unclaimed by Courtney Milan (getting ready for book chat tomorrow) and really loved it.  I can’t wait to discuss!

  4. donna says:

Holiday really cut into the reading time, but I did finish Courtney Milan’s “Unclaimed” as my I deserve a treat for cooking and cleaning for a week lazy Friday morning. Now I’m working through the “Seal of My Dreams” anthology. A lot of the stories are just the right size for I cannot believe I’m wide awake an hour before my alarm goes off mornings. And it supports a good cause. I’m feeling pretty virtuous.
