Dear Bitches, Smart Authors Podcast: Getting Cross Examined about EIKAL

For this edition of the Dear Bitches, Smart Authors podcast, Jane asks Sarah Really Really Hard Questions about Everything I Know About Love, I Learned from Romance Novels, known affectionately as EIKAL.

Seriously, Jane had no mercy. Tough Questions. It was like being cross examined about your book. It was awesome!

I hope you enjoy the interview, and get a little insight into the book – which is now available at bookstores and libraries near you.

This week’s music is from Shadow Orchestra, and the very mellow track is called “Matilda Reprise.” You can find Shadow Orchestra at iTunes or at their website.

We also talk about books we loved that feature strong female friendships, and you’ll get to hear the EXTREMELY rare occurrence that Sarah knows an author’s name that Jane can’t remember(!!). And, as requested, here’s the list of books we talk about in this podcast:

Hello, I`m not sure if it`s possible to find the name of this book especially as I can`t remember any of the character names or the author. Someone on Fancy reader’s website recommended I try here so, here goes. It’s an old Mills and boon read.
I believe it was set in Amsterdam. There was a doctor and I believe the heroine was a nurse who had a lousy boy-friend. They went to dinner and after arguing he leaves the restaurant and the lady holding the cheque with not enough money in her purse to pay. The doctor (who happens to be eating in the same restaurant) sees her predicament and pays for her meal. She somehow ends up at his home where he doesn`t want his family to let on that he is a millionaire. I believe he has two children who somehow, end up falling through or being pushed either the flooring or down some type of hole. The doctor rescues them. That`s all I remember. I know it`s not very much to go on but, there have been discoveries with less to go on. I also believe, it was written prior to 1979. Thank-you

I listened to the podcast while walking my dog this morning. Great show! As I walked along I hoped I’d find a list of the authors and titles and voila! here it is. Thank you so much for my favorite podcast and providing the list.

Sarah, you looked great on the GKS yesterday!!!
