It’s come to my attention that the chart in EIKAL renders like hot buttered crap in eInk devices. I’m sorry! I have heard it may even display differently depending on the digital format. Again: I SUCK. I really like charts. A LOT.
In fact, that beginning of that chart was a remnant from an early Beyond Heaving Bosoms that didn’t fit in the book. Charts, I loves them. But making readers feel disappointed or left out because they can’t see the chart correctly? I don’t loves that, and I am sorry.
So! Here: have a PDF chart! What Romance Are You.pdf (52k). Please right click and download.
But wait, there’s more! I know that charts can render oddly for the devices that visually impaired – which probably explains why when I’ve researched opportunities to volunteer and read books aloud, so many list describing scientific charts and diagrams as the most pressing need.
So I’ve recorded myself reading the chart – not very well, but I did what I could. It’s very much Not Professional. But, here’s the mp3: please click and download. (2MB) This isn’t part of the podcast, so it’s just me describing the chart, but if there’s visually impaired readers out there who wanted to know what I was going on about, well, enjoy.
Sorry about the chart and the eInk, y’all. I really, really like charts. I’ll try to break up with them. Soon.

Learn something new every day. Not certain I wanted to know it, but…
This confirms what I have long since suspected – no one bothers to look at the digital conversions before selling them.
Melons. BWAHAHA! B)
I’m in the process of read the book, between Spanish and Calculus exams. I think I missed “Melons.” when I came across the chart. Glad you posted this. 🙂
Sarah, in my book (ha!), that you even thought about the impact of a bad chart and lack of audible description is huge. Props for providing a fix and more laughs.
I love the Twitter! Thank you for posting this. And for listening to my whine. I love charts, too.
Love the chart – the problem is – (like everyone) – my results put me in about 3 or 4 different categories.
Guess that means—I should read ‘em all.
(And maybe – other than fun – that’s the point?)

I’m kind of all over the place, but I mostly fall under Regency, a period that i rarely read about. lol
Captcha: Live93 I hope to live until I am 93 years old. That would be cool.
hmm. never had my picture pop up before. maybe it’s because i’m on another computer.
I am SOOOO historical. Thanks for this 🙂
You know me too well!
Huh. Can anyone give me them name of a good paranormal historical where the heroine eats creme brulee?
Sigh.
None of the above.
That’s the story of my life.
I’m suspicious of your science, here. Because I pretty much hate Westerns and I am firmly in the Western category.
But – what if none of those fit you? Not a single one.
For me this would be my answers –
Steak – Well, I really don’t like steak anymore but I’ll occasionally have a filet mignon, rare.
Preferred Dictator – I prefer them all dead and burning in Hell. But I guess Vlad The Impaler.
Black Pants – I’ve got a couple pair of Koret brand black slacks somewhere. But I haven’t owned black jeans since high school.
Favorite Desert – Chocolate mouse or my mom’s Better Than Sex Chocolate Chocolate Fudge Cake. (Super easy to make if anyone wants to know how.)
Favorite Holiday – HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!
See? I don’t fit any of what you have. Does that mean I don’t fit in any sort of romance novel at all? *sobs*
This confirmed what I always knew.. You can’t just put me in one box or area.. I am just too much of a free spirit to be pinned down to one area…
Where’s the section for SciFi?! I feel slighted. 🙁
