Books On Sale

Deals and Digital Discounts

Book CoverJust in time for me to travel tomorrow to New Orleans for Heather Graham’s Writers for New Orleans conference, there’s ebooks on sale. HOT DIGGITY!

Johanna Lindsey’s Once a Princess, which was recommended by several Bitchery readers as a good intro to Lindsey’s novels, is on sale for $2.99 in ebook form [Kindle | Kobo | BN  | WORD Brooklyn]

Funny enough, the “other” Once a Princess, a fantasy/scifi type story, is free online right now. Lots of discounted princesses!

Book Cover Also part of the Amazon $3.99 or under sale: Suzanne Enoch’s The Care and Taming of a Rogue for $2.99 – and not just at Amazon, woo hoo! [Kindle | Kobo | BN | WORD Brooklyn]

Also: you can get 20% off Kobo eBooks with code “June20off”. The code is still valid, and works on ebooks except for those pesky Agency publisher books, which can’t be discounted.

And, there are still $99 refurb WiFi-only Kindles available. If you click on the Kindle main page, under the words “In Stock” are “used” and “refurbished.” There’s refurbs still available for $99, if you’ve been hankering. Or yearning. Or both.

My first time to read the phrase: “Bitchery readers”!

  2. Ann Stephens says:

Woot! Gotta love a sale. Might consider a refurbished Kindle—my hubby & both got refurbed iPods a couple of years ago. They work great & we saved a bundle.

  3. Mama Nice says:

Funny you posted this, I was just browsing that sale…I was about to ask you a related question on twitter, but I’ll ask it here instead and get the wonderful Bitchery to answer me!

Also listed on that sale was “The Strangely Beautiful tale…” I think you reviewed this – maybe? I’ll check the archives in a sec, but would be happy to have anyone else sound off too – I’ll probably buy it anyways, if it was 99cents I wouldn’t even ask, but at $2.99 I’m slightly more hesitant to insta-click (That’s a pick-me up at Sbux right there, ya know)…this hesitation also leads me to wonder what is the price line for most people between :“Instant buy who cares if I end up not liking it” and “Hmmm, maybe I’ll wait and see before dropping the cash…”

I’ll never forget my first Lindsey…Savage Thunder…sex on the back of a horse made quite an impression on my seventh grade self…
Have fun in New Orleans – sooooo jealous! I love it there, even if it is probably gawdawful hot right now

Ok, so while I remembered correctly that you mentioned that book on the site, it wasn’t a review but THIS: http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/index.php/weblog/comments/well-thats-a-new-one/

So please, anyone have an opinion on Strangely Beautiful…  I would love to hear it…though now I may just have to buy it, just so I could envision it as a musical while reading it.

Will miss New Orleans this year. 🙁 Have fun and eat a beignet for me! Oh, and take an umbrella or your galoshes. There’s a tropical depression setting up and it could dump a foot of rain on NOLA!

There are sooooo many books releasing this week and next that I want! My poor Kindle has doubled in weight from all the recent downloads! 😉 Ha, spamword: future63. Yes, there are at least 63 books in my future!

  6. I enjoyed “The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Percy Parker” – although it’s certainly a bit more ghostly/gothic-y than my usual read. The romance didn’t feel quite so compelling to me, but the writing is lovely and the worldbuilding interesting. And the heroine certainly is unique and memorable.

That Once a Princess by Sherwood Smith is also a free download for the nook right now, if anyone is interested: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Once-a-Princess/Sherwood-Smith/e/9781605040486 (Sarah’s link led to the Amazon download).

Now that I have my nook, I’m going to be paying much closer attention to these e-sales and free downloads! Thanks for posting theme!

these37: these days of being 37 are definitely dwindling.

  8. For @SonyBookStore fans, you can also get those two books for the same price.  In addition, you might be interested in Captured by the Highlander by Julianne MacLean ($2.99); Dying Bites by D. D. Barane ($2.99); Devil to Pay by Jeaniene Frost ($1.99); Two Lines by Melissa Marr ($1.99); Annabelle, the American by Lavinia Kent ($1.99 – Part of her The Real Duchesses of London series); Heart of the Hunter by Vivi Anna ($2.99 – A Nocturne Bites); I Love the Earl by Caroline Linden ($.99); and Daring by Dee Davis ($1.99).

  9. Cora says:

I don’t know about the Joanna Lindsey book, but the other Once a Princess by Sherwood Smith is very enjoyable fantasy novel.

  10. sweetsiouxsie says:

I loved Lindsey’s Once a Princess!!! It had a sequel which was really good too. In fact, I read the sequel first and had to special order the Princess. I looked on maps for days trying to find the country where action takes place!! LOL!!!

  11. Jemma says:

Holy hell! Did anyone check out the inside cover?!?!?
In the swamp!??!? That has to be the most unsexy place to get all sexy-ed. All I can think of is toes squished far into the mucky bottom, leeches and slimy newts.

  12. Vicki says:

Every single time you post ebook sales, I and my Nook end up getting something. Thanks a lot for posting.

Love getting an e-reader deal on my first, many years ago “trashy book” author!  Thanks!

  15. Suzanne Enoch’s Care and Taming of a Rogue is pretty good and definitely worth the price! Love her LOL- I ended up getting a couple of the books Lizbeth recommended so thanks!
