But, as sent by Sarah Mayberry, they are fucking hilarious:
Hope this weekend brings you absolutely nothing to swear about, including hurricanes!

They may not be work safe but this is hysterical!
very funny. i needed it because i’ve been thinking about this damn hurricane. the last one was a year before i was born, so the only thing I’ve ever really seen is footage from Katrina with the people on top of their roofs. I hope you stay safe, and that stupid cone of uncertainty (really? that’s the best they could do? at least Get Smart had a cool cone of silence) moves well into the Atlantic, passing NY and NJ by.
Now there’s a budget plan it would be fun to start practicing.
This morning on the radio, I got to listen to someone actually wish for a hurricane for us – that’s what happens when you have no rain for a long time and people start having to sell off their cows because they can’t afford to feed them anymore, people start wishing for crazy things. I don’t want a hurricane, I just want a normal rainy season.
You guys are LETHAL to work decorum! This is a brilliant idea. I think we ought to nominate this guy for the Noble Prize in Economics.
Love it!!
Bwahahaha!
I am sending this to my friends in Oz. This is bang on! And hilarious.
Thanks for the great laugh!!!!
I think I’ll implement this on the micro-economic level. I could afford a f*****g vacation next year!
And you east coast bitches: battin your F*****g hatches & get the hell out of Dodge!!!
Hilarious! The Gruen Transfer (from which this clip is from) is a show about advertising and they always have a segment where actual ad companies have to make a campaign to sell us the unsellable.
The Gruen Transfer is smart, funny and insightful about the advertising industry. http://www.abc.net.au/tv/gruentransfer/ There’s some great stuff on their webiste. When we had our General Election recently they had a special series called Gruen Nation that analyzed the various political campaigns.Fantastic.
Ooh, I hope they do because we really do need bailing out since we can’t figure it out ourselves.
Sarah – happy you and the family had travel plans in place and won’t be there for the hurricane!
LG – That is such a sad comment! Which drought area are you in, TX? I hope you get rain!
