Sizzling Book Club Chat: July 26 at 8pm EDT!

Sizzling Book Club Book Cover

Join us at 8pm Eastern time on 26 July for the Sizzling Book Club chat to discuss Sarah Morgan’s A Night of Scandal. We’ll discuss Harlequin Presents, alpha heroes, Morgan’s twist on some very familiar tropes, and where she hid a sheikh reference in this book.

Sarah Morgan will join us at 9pm Eastern – better known as 2am in the UK, good heavens. This series was just released in the US after being out since March in the UK, and she’s very interested in chatting with US readers. She insisted on a late-hour chat for her so she could talk with as many of you as possible. I suspect she’ll be totally wired on caffeine, so this should be fun!

Worried you might forget? Have a handy button to add it to your calendar:

I know so many people have enjoyed this book, and I cannot wait to hear what you thought of it. See you then!

I haven’t read an HP since I was a teen-ager (which was a long time ago…) simply because there are too many books and I only have so much time. But I picked this up because of the review (was it here or Dear Author or both?) Then I read it when I should have been doing something else. I truly enjoyed it. Now I think I’ll give the whole series a try. Last time I read a Harlequin series (I mean a series within a series with multiple authors in one line) as they were coming out was in 1994!

Thanks for all the recommendations though my tbr pile has past ridiculous and now I’m filling my kindle with stuff you recommended too! And I blame SBTB and Dear Author (in a good way) for my even having a kindle.

  2. tee says:

is it just me?  looks like it says 3pm EDT in the title and 8pm Eastern… which is EDT = eastern daylight time aka eastern.

  3. Carin says:

I am also wondering about the time.  I love our book club chats, but I don’t think I could chat from 3-9pm waiting for Sarah Morgan to join us.

When I hit the button to add it to my calendar it said 7-8:30pm my time zone (central).  Cool.  Who knew google would adjust time zones?  Not me.

  4. Chelsea says:

I’m guessing the heading is a mistake? I’m excited for the chat! This wasn’t my favorite book pick, but I did LOVE the hero. Can’t wait to talk about it.

  5. SB Sarah says:

The heading was totally my mistake. I’m sorry! Look, 3 is kinda like HALF of 8, right?! I was half right!

What actually happened was that I tentatively scheduled the chat for 3pm EDT, so it would be 9pm in the UK when Sarah Morgan joined us. That’d be teatime or snacktime on the east coast, and lunch on the Pacific coast, so I figured that would work for everyone.

But then, I shit you not, Sarah Morgan was all, “Oh, no, I want to chat with US readers as much has possible so I’ll stay up until 2am!”

And I was all, *blink* “Are you daft?”

    And she was all, “No.”

    And I said, “OK!”

So there you have it – 8pm EDT/7pmCDT, and 1-230AM in the UK. Sarah Morgan is Hard Core for you guys. Or mainlining tea. Or both.

  6. Janice says:

Thanks Sarah for reminding me.  I bought the book several weeks ago but it’s in my TBR pile on my kindle.  Will get it done by the 26th!

  7. SonomaLass says:

I bought this just for the chat, with no clue about content. Imagine my surprise when I started it last night and the opening scene is backstage at a performance of Shakespeare! I can never get enough of the stage in romance; I’m really looking forward to this now!

That the author is such a trooper makes it even better. I admit that I’m glad not to still be in the UK for this.

  8. Emily says:

    Yay!
    I love book chat!
That’s next Tuesday, even though it doesn’t say Tuesday. I am glad it is not during the family reunion in case I decide to go. See you there.

  9. Suzannah says:

Gosh, with a chat time of 2.00am UK time, it’s so lucky you don’t have any UK readers who’d like to join the chat with this UK author.

  10. Jen B. says:

Dang it!  I read this book and totally loved it but I can’t participate in the discussion.  I won’t have internet access that day!  I actually enjoyed it so much that I went hunting for the rest of the series.  Have a great discussion.  Maybe I can make it next month.

  11. Cliff says:

    Love these chats!

  12. meganhwa says:

🙁  oh i won’t be able to make it. but i will read the comments after – the book was great. I really enjoyed it. hopefully i can make the next one

  13. Appomattoxco says:

Darn, the first time I read the book on time and the chat is on Ghost Story day. I really enjoyed the book but odds are I’ll have my nose stuck in the new Dresden Files.

  14. I love Sarah Morgan! I have A Night of Scandal loaded on my Kindle! Can’t wait to read it. Probably not before tomorrow, since I’m under deadline for Aug. 1st. But I’ll be with you in spirit Sarah!!!
