JD is looking for a book and she doesn’t have much description – but what there is, is memorable.
The book is an older Harlequin type book (one of the bigger ones) it was
about a girl who was deaf and blind because of seeing her parents murdered
(some kind of princess she wants to help her people)She does get her vision
and hearing back. That’s all I remember…it would be so awesome if someone
was able to help me find it.
My first thought upon reading this one: Of course she’s a princess! Anyone recall this book?
hysterical deafness and blindness??? really?
I read this one! I don’t recall a single thing about it except the temporary blind n deafness. Sorry.
Was she a Pinball Princess?
Wait – Tommy’s parents weren’t murdered. Never mind.
And all the young people said “Huh?”
earlier48: I’m going to turn 48 earlier than I want to.
Well Fiona Brand’s Double Vision has a heroine with pyschosomatic blindness – caused by seeing her mother killed in a car accident. The vision is restored following a series of “incidents”, together with a further second sense ! It’s published by Mira books. Definately no deafness though.
@Kinsey – Great. Now I have that song stuck in my head! (Btw, I am 25, and am crazy familiar with the entire Who musical library. I saw them in concert about three years ago and they are still rocking hard. No broken instruments, though…)
This book sounds so bad as to be AWESOME. Can’t wait until someone figures out what it is!
Was this a medieval, and she was captured by the Vikings who killed her mother?
