Holy moly, are you guys good cooks. I’m seriously ready for a fourteen-course meal here. Thank you for all the brilliant ideas for how to cook my copy of Unveiled, and my apologies to those who are horrified. I did say I wanted to eat it, and having been called on it, I have to keep my word. Or eat them. Or both. Anyway.
Behold, the winners!
Please email me at sarahATsmartbitchestrashybooksDOTcom with your mailing addresses, and I’ll send your copies as soon as they make it through Yet Another Snowstorm to arrive in my kitchen (nomnomnom).
I’m not sure what I’m going to do to cook this book. I may end up making a dinner and a dessert. I do LOVE the steamed tamale ideas, as well as the recommendations to shred the pages a bit and use that as some “roughage.”
Thank you so much for the creative (and hungry-making) ideas, though – as usual, contest threads are long piles of fun up in here, up in here.
Congrats to the winners – and stay tuned for the chat date announcement. I hope you enjoy the book!
This was a new author to me and I read the book for the upcoming chat. What a great book! Her characters are real, dialogue true to life, reactions spot-on, and story so engrossing I stayed up way past my work bedtime.
I immediately bought her back list and have already read her first. This is the best new author I’ve read in a long, long time. Thanks for the recommendation. Can’t wait for the chat.
Congrats to the winners. Bon appetit Sarah.
Now for something completely off subject: the ad for Animal Magnetism is adorable. Who can resist such a cute puppy, especially when it’s draped across a backside that looks like that! Lol.
Steamed tamales sound delicious!
I bought this book today (bonus point 1) at an indie bookstore (bonus point 2) and I can’t wait to read it! Goes straight to the top of my TBR pile, once I finish Kelly Armstrong’s Women of the Underworld series (3 to go!). Thanks for the awesome rec, and I hope you try the Screaming Orgasm recipe I provided in the contest thread. Every good romance needs at least one!
seemed24: not since I was 28 at the latest.
I hope you read it before you eat it!!!
Loved, loved, loved this book. Not enough to eat it, but enough to buy a copy after reading the galley.
Congratulations to the winners!!!
SB Sarah, thanks for recommending this one, it’s such an amazing book , with great, really likeable characters!! (Lovely cover too) Am looking forward to the chat. 🙂
When I read Unveiled I was tempted to chuck my laptop out the window and go into another line of work—maybe ditch digging or sushi roll rolling or back to my very first job, writing obituaries.
I am awed by Ms. Milan’s talent. Don’t eat her book! If you do, how will you re-read it down the road?
Can’t wait for the next book club! This is a new author for me too! I loved the book. Unique twist on the personality of the lead characters. This books really truly reminds me of another from one of my favorite authors. Hope we talk about it at book club!!
