Winner Winner (Cold) Chicken Dinner

Book CoverOk, I’m a bonehead. I owe y’all a big apology. I totally forgot to announce the winners of the Karina Bliss book, and my only defense was The Distraction of Snooki.

This might be my go-to excuse from now on, come to think of it. Blame Snooki.

Anyway, I’m sorry. The winners of the 3 signed print and 3 digital copies are:

PRINT:

Shannon Lind
Gail (@9:54 am)
tracykitn

DIGITAL:

FD (@1:34 pm)
Theresa (@4:55pm)
Elise S.

Winners, please email me your snail mail address or email address for your print or digital copy. Congrats! And again, my bad.

Here, have some links to entertain!

First, from Iron Lesbian #2: have a giant time suck in the form of a giant list of misconceptions from Wikipedia.

From Gemma Dearing: Gemma Dearing, a blog featuring modern cartoonish illustrations of what a person would look like in a historical copy of a dress. If you click on the illustration, you’ll see the original dress.

That yellow and black ball gown is adorable.

Oh, I love that list of misconceptions.
I adore things lists like that. They make me feel so smart 🙂

  5. Ye Gods.

Last year at this time, I was riding herd over a group of high school students trying to make a replica of that Egyptian bead dress using hand-made newspaper beads.

I still cannot speak of that experience without twitching and reaching for the brandy bottle.  It took a million years, and the whining was continual.  We were picking paper bits and wire out of the livingroom carpet for a month.

is it just me or does the male model look like the guy who plays Palmer on NCIS?
