I love this! I started to learn ASL a while back and then I quit. I’m going back, I want to be able to do that. She gets an A+ from me!

  2. Smash Attack says:

OMG! This chic is my new hero. Thanks for the link!!!

  3. quichepup says:

Amazing! SO much better than “Wind Beneath My Wings” and the usual stuff people are asked to sign.

I hope she got an A.

  4. MarieC says:

    She is SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

  5. Melanie says:

There are a ton of ASL songs on youtube – my favorite interpreter is kmklined (http://www.youtube.com/user/kmklined) – everything she does is awesome.

  6. Laurel says:

When I took ASL it was nowhere near that fun. Probably because the classes were at church.

  7. Jaci Burton says:

Beyond totally awesome. I, too, hope she got an A.

  8. AgTigress says:

That is a very talented young woman!
    🙂

  9. Kati says:

This absolutely made my day. I had to tell a story in my senior ASL final. The Three Little Pigs. It was nowhere near as entertaining.

  10. Donna says:

Ahhh.. memories. I did some schmaltzy Kenny Loggins song for my final, but one of my classmates chose a Bette Midler filled with double entendre about getting drilled by the dentist. Definitely the difference between a B and an A.
And then there was my first ASL teacher who started the first class with all the bad words so we could “get it out of our systems”.  Her day job was in a hospital kitchen. She new A LOT of bad words.

  11. KTG says:

I bet she got an A!

  12. Karenmc says:

Thanks. My morning turned rotten for a while, was reprieved (when someone calls you from home to say they discovered mold in a closet, ALWAYS have them send a photo to your phone to so you can explain that what they saw was really old carpet backing), and then I watched this to top it off. My afternoon is going to be a breeze.

  13. Crystal says:

I saw that a few weeks ago.  Could not stop laughing.  Best final ever.

  14. Jennifer Armintrout says:

I would never be able to sign and mouth the words.  I envy people who can do a 50/50 ASL/English split, LOL.  Grammar correct and everything, dang.

  15. Elise Logan says:

    That was brilliant. Really brilliant.

  16. Diva says:

She is AMAZING! So much rhythm and attitude and expression in her performance. WOW!

  17. Since we’re all sharing… I did Cake’s cover of ‘Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps’ and added a hand tango during the instrumental.

  18. Carrie S says:

I can’t stop smiling!  Or singing it!  Which s a little awkward now that DD is home from school 😉

@Christina – sounds awesome, got video?

I only took one semester of ASL and my hands were so wild the teacher said it was like I was really angry all the time.  *sigh*

  19. Kat says:

    Best part of my day!

  20. @Melanie—thanks for the link to kmklined on YouTube. Just watched her Grenade by Bruno Mars…. OMG. Breathtaking!

  21. eta_o says:

So this is why the ASL classes at my university were always full before I could sign up!

I had to settle for Spanish as my language instead, and it wasn’t nearly as entertaining

  22. Lucy says:

The first thing my husband asked: “How many marriage proposals do you think she got after that performance?!”

    We loved it!

  23. Tracy says:

I love it.  Now a whole new way to tell some to F*** off.  🙂
Thanks for sharing that.  A+ from me!

  24. Hell Cat says:

I want to go to all y’all’s colleges. Mine has: French or Spanish. That’s it. It’s a relatively new college (opened about 4 years ago). I wanna learn sign language. Mostly because I have a near deaf godmother and it’d be nice to communicate over the 50+ volume TV.

  25. Carmie says:

O lord. she is just awesome i love it. a whole new way to flip someone off! lol. it takes a very talented person to be able to sing in sign like that! forget the day, that just made my week!

  26. Jill Shalvis says:

This was the PERFECT pick me up, lol, thank you!
