Hanukkah, oh Hanukkah, we’re rocking out for the second night of Hanukkah!
To continue the festive merriment to celebrate reading, both paper and digital, I have a collection of historical romance with some historical fiction mixed in.

They all look so interesting, but if I had to pick on I’d probably go with Seven Nights to Forever since I almost won that one earlier.
I’d go with Rules of Engagement simply because I like the way she’s peeking over her parasol.

Now that is one huge collection! Having read and loved the previous Evangeline Collins book, I would most probably start with Seven Nights to Forever.
My first choice would be A Kiss At Midnight, only because I think that cinderella cover is awesome.

Definitely The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros. I would read it first and then hand it off to my daughter-in-law, a Hungarian who lusts after any romance novel written in English!
I think Rules of an Engagement…I am a sucker for a good parasol.
I love love love historical romance so this is another prize package full of awesome to me. Several of the books on my wish list are included in this collection including The Devil Wears Plaid. The only that might sweeten the deal is if you included a jelly donut in the box too 🙂
I think I would start with Rules of Engagement for me, and I would give Ten Ways to Be Adored… as a gift, because that book was delightful!
I would read A Pirate’s Possession first because the cover model doesn’t even have a face! I think that means that it has to be good and filled with some awesome man candy.
I’d read A Kiss at Midnight first because I love a good fairy tale re-telling.
I second A Pirate’s Possession because pirates rock. And apparently have mountainous abs. And hopefully a sexy eyepatch off cover.
Oooh, awesome collection. I would give the Teresa Medeiros as a gift, because I’ve already won one (thanks, Bitches!), and read it, and it’s great fun. But I would start with Midnight, because I’m curious to see what a historical with non-white characters is like, since I’ve never read one before.
I would read the Teresa Medeiros first, and then the Caroline Linden because RedHeadedGirl has me reading her right now and I’m really liking her books so far. Gifts? Nah. Merry Holidays to me. 🙂
“You only love once” I just read my first book by the author and would like to check out more.
Most of the books would go to my library (after I carefully read them, I am not some crazy saint), I volunteer and even if we don’t use it at our branch, someone will need it in the system.
I would start with Rules of Engagement, because I already know I like Suzanne Enoch. Otherwise there would have to be some serious internet research, and… that’s a lot of books to research.
I’d probable just make a pile, close my eyes and grab one to accompany me to my sofa and cuppa tea….
Also, handle with care, baking powder neutralizes computer radiation and hairspray will stop a run in your stockings.

A Kiss at Midnight 🙂
I’d pick the Medeiros because of the SBTB review, then read the other at random while enjoying Latke Crusted Quiche from Jewniverse:
Ingredients:
3 cups shredded potatoes (you can use frozen hashed browns if you want)
3 tablespoons butter, melted, or 2 tablespoons olive oil
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella, or the cheese of your choice
1 serrano pepper, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1.If you’re shredding fresh potatoes, let them sit in a colander for a good twenty minutes to drain, then press down hard on the pile with a towel, pushing out as much liquid as you can. If you’re using frozen hash browns, let them thaw, and drain them well.
2. Spray a 9? pie pan with the cooking spray of your choice, and preheat the oven to 450 F. Gently mix the potatoes with the melted butter or olive oil, and then press it into the pie tin so that it forms a crust. Bake at 425 F for 20-25 minutes, until it looks golden brown and crunchy.
3. In a bowl, beat together the eggs and milk, add the peppers, onion, salt and pepper, and finally the cheese, stirring gently to mix. Note: I chose these vegetables because they’re what I happened to have around the house. Feel free to mix things up as you see fit.
4. Pour the egg mixture into the potato crust, and bake at 375 for about 30 minutes, or until the center of the quiche is firm and doesn’t jiggle when you shake the pan.
Make a final toast to Hanukkah, and enjoy!
Seven Nights to Forever, mainly because the premise seems different from most other historicals I’ve read.
I’d read either Scandal of the Season or His Christmas Pleasure, because if I don’t read them soon, I’ll have to put them away for an entire year.
The Sarah MacLean (or maybe whichever cover makes the kids say ‘eeewww’).
I’m saying a little prayer of thanks right now that we can enter in more than one contest, because this – for a historical romance freak – is a mouth-watering price. We have had a massive amount of snow here so I can’t think of anything better to do than snuggle up at home under a blanket with the cat and a cup of tea and read read read. As none of my friends like romance, I wouldn’t even have to give a single one away (mwahahaha). I would start with Caroline Linden, because What a Rogue Desires was excellent.
After the last escapade into renaming a book, I think I would have to read “Seven Nights of Forever” by Evangeline Collins. Suzanne Enoch’s book would be given to a close friend who has been in and out of hospital lately, as she is an avid reader of Suzanne’s novels. For the rest, I think the fun would be putting them in a sack and drawing them out helter skelter.

I’d give EMILY AND THE DARK ANGEL to my cousin since I already own a copy (awesome book!), and I’d first dive into Sarah MacLean’s TEN WAYS… because it’s on my Book Depo wishlist and bugs the everlasting antsypants outta me every time I come across it.
I’d read the Eloise James one first, because I’ve never read any of hers before (*hangs head in shame*)
And the Teresa Medeiros I’d give to my BFF since I’ve already read that one.

Everyone seems to love Seven Nights to Forever so that is what I would read first. Or maybe Dreams of Desire since I haven’t read a Cheryl Holt book in a few years.

I’ve totally been Suzanne Enoch’s bitch for the past 2-3 months reading everything my library has to offer, and they don’t offer “Rules of an Engagement” so I would definitely start there.

I think I would start with ten ways to be adored because the excessively long title intrigues me and who doesn’t like being adored…especially by devishly handsome lords 😉
I would definitely read Seven Nights to Forever as it’s in my TBR and I can’t wait to read it.
I’d give Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord to my mother, as I just read it over the weekend. It wasn’t as good as Nine Rules which, for me, was one of the best historical romances of the past year, but it was still very good. Mind you, I guess that would mean I’d have to lend her my copy of Nine Rules too. Dang. I don’t want to let go! I keep rereading pages of it when I need a pick-me-up. The hero is seriously dreamy. *sigh* (Just don’t tell my husband! 🙂
I think I’d read Midnight first because the setting is different from most of the historicals I’ve been reading lately. Variety is the spice of life!
