Who is ready for the Sizzling Book Club chat? Me me me me me!
I have seen folks on Twitter and Facebook talking about re-reading Amanda Quick’s Scandal, and I cannot wait to chat with you about it, and about other older romances that stand up to longtime rereading.
Jane from DearAuthor is going to join me for the book discussion, and AllRomance has come up with a great idea – there’s going to be digital giveaways galore up in here, up in here, so please join us!
The chat will be Tuesday 28 December at 9:00 pm EST-10:30 pm EST. Unlike previous chats, the author won’t be joining us (woe!) but we will be partying the entire time, with giveaways, discussion, polls (have you seen the polls?), old skool cover madness, and general discussions, like what title could possibly top “Earl of Blade?” Maybe “Duke of Sharp Badassery.”
You’ll see a chat window appear on the 28th, and at 9pm EST it’ll go live. I hope you can join us, with or without your merry egg nog beverage. Oh, that’s a good question to start with – what will you be drinking? Mulled wine? Cider? Candy cane martinis? Got a recipe to share?
Yeah! I missed the last book chat so I am looking forward to getting back into it. I am in the middle of Scandal right now so I will be ready for Tuesday. See you all then!
Frickin’ frack. I’m hosting a dinner party that night. Still enjoying my reread of the book, though. ONE of these days I will not have a sick child, random pre-planned social gathering, mandatory staff meeting and/or ten page paper due and get to join you.
P.S. My Christmas cocktail this year is a recent find, but I am IN LOVE with it. I’ll be drinking one (or seven) at the dinner party and toast to Smart Bitches everywhere.
Burnt Toasted Almond
1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
3/4 oz amaretto almond liqueur
2 oz half-and-half
Okay, I don’t like gin or vodka, generally, but this candy-cane martini sounds intriguing. What’s in it?
Ooh, I think that’s 9am my time, and thanks to the public holiday I may be able to join in, for once! Yay!
This was my first AQ and is still one of my favorites.
Wish I could join in — but even my deep devotion to JAK/AQ’s oeuvre is not great enough to keep me up till the starting time of 2 am here! Hope I can still read some of the comments on the following morning, though.
