Love it! Totally worth being up at 4am for 🙂

  2. Christina says:

Oh, awesome! Love it – thanks for posting this! It’s that sort of day and I just found out my ex has a new girlfriend – I hate to be a horrific cliche but Mr Darcy & co are just what I need today. Well, either that or Godzilla-type city-destroying mayhem. =(

It’s edited so well to the music also!  =D

  3. Richard Armitage. Yum.

  4. nitnot says:

ROMANCELANDIA, YOU WIN AT THE INTERNETZ

  5. Lora says:

    Oh yays I love this!

Was waiting to see mr. darcy step out of the water and walk across the meadow at pemberly in the dripping shirt—best part of epi 4, though.

  6. Chance says:

Who and what show is that at 1.11? i must see this please!!

  7. Sarah W says:

Give me a man in cravat and brocade vest . . . mmmm.

  8. Karin says:

    Awesome.

  9. Barb says:

Outstanding video!  I agree! Nothing like a man in a cravat and brocade vest riding a horse……mmmmm

  10. PJ DEAN says:

cravat, brocade vest and TALL BOOTS! O yeah, works for me.

  11. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm….

I’m sorry, did you guys say something? I was … um … distracted.

    word ver win = research69

  12. Rueyn says:

    Good gracious…thank you.  Just…THANK YOU!

  13. Kati says:

    Hallelujah! That is all.

  14. Lisananda says:

Yummy! And there were several that I have not seen so I am deeply grateful for the list of titles at the end. Working on one … last … paper, and then I think I’ll be blissing out with some videos as a reward for completed homework.
    Thank you!

  15. Kel says:

Silly yumminess was exactly what I needed this morning.  Especially with glimpses of Alan Rickman, Richard Armitage, and Benedict Cumberbatch in there.

  16. JamiSings says:

Dry or wet, I’d rather have Alan Rickman to a wet Colin Firth.

  17. bambbles says:

That was wonderful! Now I have a list of movies to watch!!

  18. ev says:

Mmm….Ioan Gruffudd, Alan Rickman and Colin Firth. I think I will be having a movie fest this weekend.

  19. Lyssa says:

Colin Firth, You had me at that..I mean in college we had it taped, and would watch Him walk up that hill soaking wet over and over. And he still looks yummy today!

  20. Karen H says:

Definitely thankful for a wet Colin Firth but sooo disappointed this didn’t include him walking out of the water all wet!  Maybe I missed it…maybe I’ll just have to watch it a few times more to make sure it’s not there!  But thanks (plus I have always loved that song)!

  21. Betsy says:

    Amazing!  Colin Firth is just…fantastic.

  22. Melissandre says:

Can we identify all the movies?  I saw Emma, Sense and Sensibility, both Pride and Prejudices, North and South, and what I assume is Amazing Grace (the Ioan Gruffud one).  What are the others?  Help a girl out!  The swordfighting one looks intense (and delicious).

  23. I *love* this … I’m also going to be sharing it everywhere. 🙂

  24. cayenne says:

@Melissandre – I think I noticed a list at the end of the piece, but as I had OD’d on man-candy, not 100% sure.  I know I saw Richard Armitage, and in addition to the list you have, I’m pretty sure there was the other P&P, Northanger Abbey, and – thrilling to me – Shadow of the North.  I’m not sure what else, though.

  25. Broke Baroque says:

@Melissandre: From the YouTube info of clips in the video:

    Amazing Grace 2006
    Casanova 2005
    Emma 1996
    NorthAnger Abbey 2007
    North & South 2004
    Persuasion 2007
    Pride & Prejudice 1995, 2005
    Sense & Sensibility 1996, 2008
The Shadow in the North 2007
    Wives & Daughters 1999

  26. Broke Baroque says:

Damn, I forgot to mention—the sword fight is from the 2008 version of Sense and Sensibility, I’m pretty sure.  🙂

  27. Ros says:

    Yes, there’s a list:

    Amazing Grace
    Casanova
    Northanger Abbey
    Sense and Sensibility
    Pride and Prejudice (x2)
    Wives and Daughters
    North and South
    The Shadow in the North
    Emma

Personally, I wish that Wet Colin Firth hadn’t happened.  Though I did absolutely love the parody of it in Lost in Austen.

  28. Fabulous, thank you! nice to see gorgeous Neil Morrisey there!

  29. Chicklet says:

THIS IS WHY THE INTERNET WAS INVENTED, FULL STOP.

  30. evelyne says:

    loved it !!

and thanks for the list ;—

  31. mssarahb says:

Help!  Which film had the desert scenes?  I can’t place it and I thought I had seen all of these movies.

  32. Lisa says:

    Mmmm – so thankful…

  33. The desert scene was from Wives & Daughters, the best Gaskell adaptation ever. Lovely editing, but nothing in my mind beats this version of “It’s Raining Men:”

  34. Bibliophile says:

    Be still my beating heart!

It’s definitely costume drama day for me tomorrow.

  35. Zoe Archer says:

How awesome is it that one of the tags for this post is “wet?”

    MOAR WET POSTS PLEEZ.

  36. Cammy says:

Ok, the scene at 1:01 where the guy on horseback rushes downhill to help the damsel who just tripped down it?  I didn’t recognize that one and couldn’t see who was playing our yummy rescuer.

  37. Judy says:

Colin Firth.  And Ioan Gruffudd.  And Alan Rickman.  Be still my heart….

  38. Sycorax says:

    Awesome.

I finished rewatching the BBC adaptation of Our Mutual Friend last night and there are men in river and rain shots from that. Mmmm, Mortimer Lightwood…

I’m glad they included North and South and the marvelous image of cotton fluff hanging in the air. I love that miniseries as much as the Pand P one, which is saying something.

  39. MichelleKCanada says:

    Just thank you. Thank you..
