Watch This Space!

It’s almost time! I’ll be hosting a live chat for the first All Romance eBooks’ Summer Book Club, where we’ll be discussing Tessa Dare’s One Dance with a Duke.

The chat will begin at 10:00 pm EDT/7:00 pm PDT  – and the author will join us at the end, at 11:30 EDT/8:30 PDT to answer questions.

I’ve got prizes out the wazoo up in here, and I’ll give away some to random participants or people who make really good comments or just crack me up (not that this is difficult to do). I’m so looking forward to this, and I hope you’ll join us. Please note: I have set the chat such that you do not have to register to read or participate, but you can register and log in if you’d like. Hubby and I will be approving folks to comment as fast as I can so there shouldn’t be any obstructions to your participation.

The chat will take place live in the window above – so get ready, get set, and go get a drink. I’m thinking my beverage this time around will be lemon drop martinis. Recipe below the fold.

The Lemon Drop Martini from Hook in Washington DC
(Note: tbsp measures are what I use, because I do not own any drink measuring tools. Am Dork)
(Another Note: I like my lemon drops on the sweeter side. This isn’t pucker-your-mouth sour.)

1 & 1/2 oz ketel one citron vodka (3 tbsp)
Squeeze 1/4 lemon juice (1 tbsp)
splash fresh lime juice (1/2 tbsp)
1 oz sugar syrup. (2 tbsp)

Put it in a drink shaker over a TON of ice so it is wicked cold and very fruity and lemon-y. Serve in whatever glass you want, and if you have candied lemon peel, put at least 2 in the glass.

This is such a fun super cool idea, and to have the author join in, even better! I’m outta this round, gotta a sand v-ball game going on here in central time zone land right during this – but I hope to jump in the pool with everyone for the next one!

Your Mr. Thunderpants is such a great sport for helping out with the comment lad – will he be sipping lemon drops too? I’m not much of a martini fan…I much prefer that other M drink…starts with marg…ends with rita 😉

Hope it’s a smooth lemony good time!

  2. Have you announced the next book?

  3. ALH says:

I LOVED this book!!!  Enjoy the book club!

  4. Lauren D says:

Is this something we can tune into late, or do we have to be there right at the start?

  5. SB Sarah says:

@Moviemavengal: I have not announced the next book but I will within the next week. It’ll be a digital book, though, so heads up on that.

@Lauren D: you can tune in at any time. The chat will appear in that window as a scrolling conversation and you can join any time during the proceedings.

  6. Teri C says:

Sweet! I cannot wait!. Have the movie lined up for the kids to watch tonight and making dinner early since we are in the Pacific Northwest.

  7. Julie says:

I’m wondering if I can tune in from a remote location, namely my BlackBerry. We have a hot date at the ballpark. Cliff Lee is pitching.

If I can’t, hopefully, there will be a transcript.

I LOVED “One Dance With a Duke”, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series!

  8. Ana says:

Is it around 21h15 there? (Not sure where “there” is, but in Spain is 00h16) My Moleskine tm says there is a 6h difference with NY. I’ll stick around for a bit, if I miss it, have a lot of fun, ladies (and hubby?)

  9. Kinsey says:

I bought the book last night. Haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I’m showing up anyway if I can stay awake.

  10. meezergrrrl says:

Drat! I still have 100 pages to read… Oh well…

  12. GirlyNerd says:

Sweet baby Jebus, I loved this book! Can’t wait for your next selection.

  13. Kinsey says:

GirlyNerd: I was so enchanted with the book trailer, I’m half in love with it already and I haven’t cracked the first screen.

  14. rudi_bee says:

I was all ready and excited about this chat because being in Sydney meant it’s noon and I can play while I pretend to work but noooo. Stupid computer is having issues. I’m hoping for a transcript and that someone out there in the world had the similar questions/comments as me.

  15. cories says:

It was tiring but oh so much fun!  Thank you, Sarah!

  16. SB Sarah says:

It was awesome, folks. Thank you for coming over to chat. You should be able to read a transcript in the window above, and if you have problems, please let me know.

Most folks didn’t have a problem with the CoverItLive software, but if you have a suggestion of an embedded chat function option for future book club meetings, I’m open to your collective wisdom! In future chats I’ll be giving away super soft sleep tanks and Smart Bitch beach bags filled with books, so I hope you’ll join us.

Thank you again, and thanks to Tessa Dare and AllRomance eBooks for summer book club kickoff awesomeness!
