Where did it come from, why is it meaningful, and why is it worth more to you than its relative cost? Even though I’m not eligible: my wedding ring is probably my most significant piece of jewelry. It’s a plain gold band, very beat up and notched after 10 years of wearing, but inside Hubby’s are the words “i carry your heart,” and inside mine it says, “i carry it in my heart.” We read that poem as part of our vows when we were married, and I carry the words on my finger that folks used to believe led right to the heart.
