My indulgence has got to be shopping. Not just acquiring new goods, but the entire process – from meeting up with friends, to enjoying all the store decor and colored lights, to the smells and music, to buying a big old cinnamon pretzel for the ride home.
Best way to indulge myself ever? Send family including dog away for the weekend. Book a great massage for late Friday afternoon. Come home, put on pajamas, make myself hot chocolate and popcorn for dinner, and curl up with a stack of trashy novels. Read as late as I want, sleep as late as I want, eat when I want, and play whatever music I want, with no comments from the peanut gallery. Bliss!!
Chocolate and a new book..

I like to indulge myself with chocolate and good books or movies with lots of time to enjoy it all.
I’m a bath person. I like to fill up a bathtub with steaming hot water, then soak in it so long I have to refill it with hot water because it cools down after a while. Of course, a good romance in there with me is a must. It’s always nice to bring some ginger snaps and soda along as well if possible.
Otherwise? Cake. I don’t care where I am or what’s going on, as long as there’s cake involved. When the bar owner I had a massive crush on asked me if I wanted cake, (he was British, I was studying in Cyprus; it would’ve been perfect if only he’d had the decency to take advantage of me) I thought I’d died and gone to heaven.
I believe I am past the 24 hour mark to get in on the give-away, which sucks but such is life.
If I happen to not be my favorite indulgence is probably reading lots and lots of fanfiction. =D
And then my question… so the cover picture with the woman’s legs that’s up there on the post, do the legs look really awkward to anyone else other than me? Like I just can’t see how her legs could look like that…

Once in a while my husband hears the baby cry early in the morning before I do and he gets up to her. On these rare occasions I indulge in the pretence that I haven’t heard a thing and I’m still blissfully asleep, so he stays up with her and I have the bed to myself…
