Blazing Trilogy Giveaway

Book CoverI have a really fun giveaway today, so set fire to your pants, it’s Blaze Trilogy time! This Valentine’s Day, Harlequin put together a trade-sized 3-in-1 of brand new Blaze romances: The Blaze Collection.

It includes three new novels: Her Sexy Valentine by Stephanie Bond, Play with Me by Leslie Kelly, and The Charmer by Kate Hoffmann.

Note: I’ve read Play With Me and liked it a lot – very light and quite hot. So winning a copy along with two other new books? Boo to the Yah with a side of Hells Yeah.

So I’ve got 10 copies to give away. Leave a comment here and tell me your favorite way to indulge yourself. I’ll pick ten winners at random. Nine will receive a copy of the book, and one lucky winner will receive the grand prize: a copy of the trilogy and a tin of chocolate covered Oreos decorated for Valentine’s Day*.

*Due to the fact that, scientifically speaking, chocolate melts, I have to restrict the chocolate prize to the US and Canada only. But if the winner chosen is outside the US or Canada, I’ll come up with something decadent that doesn’t melt. Promise.

Standard disclaimers: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway aside from the opportunity to type stuff on the internet. The review copy of Play With Me was sent to me by Leslie Kelly for my review usage and was not compensation for this giveaway. Neither was the pony she bought me. Wait, was I not supposed to mention that? His name is Sparkles II. Your milage may vary. Many bags look alike. Mind the gap. Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball.™

It would be a lazy day of bumming around the house in my pajamas. Such a day would usually involve lounging, cake, tea and either books or TV. Ideally, there will be no one else in the house (and therefore no judgment or disapproving glares) 😛

  2. lmf says:

Indian take-out night! I order the delivery special from my local Indian restaurant, light some candles, and put on some of my favorite podcasts from the CBC.

  3. joanneL says:

Why can’t we see a picture of the pony?

Alas, my favorite indulgence doesn’t last as long as it use to.

Now I rent a copy of the 70’s classic slasher “My Bloody Valentine” (warning: C movie ahoy) for my husband—and then I can do a re-read of some favorite romance like Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas.

  4. Linda Henderson says:

I like to curl up in my favorite chair with a good book, aromatherapy candles burning, light music in the background and a hot drink, either a latte or hot chocolate. This is my idea of indulgence.

  5. shannonannon says:

clean sheets, hot bath and the bed to myself sleeping in.  ahhh

  6. Kate says:

My favourite indulgence is having a whole stack of books to read, enough that I feel like a dragon counting her hoard. Spending all day reading for fun, with endless cups of tea and chocolate biscuits feels so luxurious. Now that I have a small baby, this doesn’t happen very often!

  7. Abby says:

Splurging on high quality ingredients and baking something decadent, then relaxing on the couch and eating it!

  8. Rebecca says:

Indulging myself…would be to ignore my work and read for pleasure for a time.  Letting go of my worries.  Preferably while eating something containing chocolate.

  9. Elise says:

Ordering enough books to actually maintain a to be read pile for more than a few days. I love having the which should I read now dilemma.

  10. SB Sarah says:

    @joanneL: SHHH. Is secret pony.

  11. Ann Finger says:

Indulgence – no “chores” around the house – just doing what I want, when I want – reading an entire book, working on a scrapbook or quilt, walking the dog without falling on the ice, and enjoying my coffee.

  12. Hmmm…my desired indulgence fantasy would vary depending on what stress or duldrums I’m trying to escape on a given day. But I’d say half a bottle of middle-shelf red, a block of extra sharp cheddar (eaten straight off the slicing knife) and a Kath & Kim marathon (original Aussie incarnation, naturally) would hit the spot nicely. Damn, that sounds good. Nuts to this writing bullshit. Where’s me cheese knife?

  13. Amy says:

    ahhhhh . . . the perfect night . . .

    Kids asleep,
    Warm bubble bath,
    Hot steamy book,
    and a BOTTLE of wine . . .

and then hubby waiting in bed for me :: wink ::

  14. MichelleR says:

I once shared this with folks outside my home and the verdict was high maintenance.

Bubble bath, with candles, and soft music, and a glass of wine. And a book, but now it’s a Kindle. Tons of moisturizer after bath.

Followed by: Fresh sheets with linen mist, sleep mask, and my ambient sound machine on gentle rain.

  15. Tina says:

Favorite indulgence would have to be a really good pedicure with friends, followed by a great italian dinner filled with flirting with a cute waiter(I’m single) and some good wine.

  16. bigred says:

I cancel every appointment I have for the day, turn off the phone, bring everything I might need into the bedroom (including a stack of books), and enjoy my “sick” day in bed.  Sometimes you just need a day to yourself- but don’t tell my boss…

  17. GirlyNerd says:

In bed, with the heated mattress pad on scorch, a good book on my kindle, some delicious sushi, and some ben and jerry’s chubby hubby for dessert.

  18. Annie says:

When it comes to indulging myself, I’m a bit antisocial. I really, really like curling up with a website full of new recipes for as long as I want, looking at all sorts of food porn. Then, I pick several, bake them without having to worry about anyone using the communal kitchen, and finish up my lazy day (usually a lazy night, since that’s about as much as I get) by relaxing with a book. (Preferably a “trashy” book because such books bear no resemblance to homework. As a double major, I don’t get to read such things often.)

It occurs to me that I haven’t had free time in so long that this sounds more like a wonderful fantasy than something I’ve done for myself lately.

  19. SandyH says:

My favorite indulgence is in front of a cozy fire, peace and quiet and a great book, however, I also love going out to dinner somewhere quiet with my husband.

  20. Carin says:

Sleeping in is my favorite!  It’s best done when the house is empty of children, but still enjoyed when I can hear them running around with my husband taking care of them.  Even more perfect is to have a long sleep in followed by a good book and no responsibilities!

  21. Erin says:

My indulgence is so cliche, but it’s a bubble bath, a glass of red wine, and a book. And then my cat comes to investigate, and I can’t help but put some bubbles on her face and watch her freak out.

  22. Heather says:

Definitely the spa. Alternating between steam room, sauna, and just lying next to the pool with cucumber slices on my eyes!

  23. Sybylla says:

In keeping with the trend I’ve seen above from those with small children (mine are 2 and 3), sleeping in.

To elaborate, I would say…the kids at their grandparents; dinner out somewhere nice with my husband (meaning somewhere I wouldn’t consider going in my daily uniform of t-shirt and dungarees); being able to sleep without keeping one ear open; in the morning, not only setting no alarm but rolling over and going back to sleep once I wake up the first – and maybe second – time; and then spending all the time I have before getting the kids just lazing in bed or on the couch and reading.  Sounds heavenly.

  24. Sybylla says:

And the former English teacher in me just went “Ack!” at the fact that I left the apostrophe off of “grandparents’”…

  25. kathybaug says:

I like to go to Barnes and Noble, sit in one of their comfy chairs, sip a mocha, eat a sugar cookie and look at the week’s latest releases.

  26. Sarah says:

    Three words for you.

    Hitachi.
    Magic.
    Wand.

    Oh dear, probably TMI there.

Shall I revise that to read “dark chocolate and a new novel?”

  27. Libby says:

Since I’m a grad student in history, my favorite indulgence at the moment is reading a book (any book) that doesn’t have footnotes!  Though its especially nice when I get to curl up on the couch with the boyfriend and he reads it to me…

  28. Lori says:

Indulge myself. Oh I like to masturbate, bake and dabble in a little magic. Interestingly, I just got a great new recipe for gingerbread that I’m going to try.

  29. Natasha R says:

    Rain outside…steamy book…Soft comforter….Soft music….need I say more?

  30. Carolyn says:

Unoriginal but true:  A long hot bubble bath, glass of wine and a book.

2nd place: Lying in bed on a Saturday or Sunday and reading for an hour before getting up and dealing with chores (if the cat will let me)

  31. Katie Ann says:

If I can afford it, I’ll go get a pedicure and treat myself to lunch out.  I don’t usually go out for lunch on my days off, so it always feels special.

  32. Pria says:

Possibly oddly, my favorite form of indulgence is to watch (English) soccer on an early weekend morning (US EST). The indulgence bit is because the place I go to does this proper Irish breakfast. So an Irish breakfast, a tall mug of beer and soccer on the TV (on a cold winter morning) is what I yearn for when feeling down.
(I’m not Irish—though I study them for a living—and have never been to Ireland).

  33. Lindsay says:

I like to indulge myself by femme-ing it up – putting on a silly lacy nightie, playing around with face masks and moisturizers and so forth, tying my hair up in a silk scarf , pretending I’m some movie star from the thirties.

  34. Diane M. says:

A good book and peace and quiet in the bathtub.

  35. AmandaG says:

Buying books.  Seriously.  I usually just check out from library.  Love the disclaimer.

  36. Judy says:

It may sound boring and mundane, but like so many others, my favorite indulgence would be a day skipping the gym and just laying in bed (w/the phone turned off, kids gone for 24 hours) and reading whatever romance is next in my never- ending TBR pile.  A quick nap, and back to reading.  To perfect the day, there would be ice cream.  To perfect the fantasy, this day would take place on a warm sunny beach, laying on a hammock, under palm trees, and a nice view of both the ocean and some hot cabana boys.

  37. Maureen says:

Apple cinnamon tea and a good book.

  38. Vicki says:

Weirdly enough, I like to get up before my family and have a cup of tea and some french fried sweet potatoes with blue cheese dressing while reading the news and Smart Bitches on line. Then I am ready for my day and the little feet thundering up the stairs. Me time.

Or, on a gray weekend afternoon, curl up with a book from the keep shelf (Georgette Heyer or Nora Roberts) and another cup of tea.

  39. Scorpio M. says:

Potato chips, re-reading my favorite books and afternoon naps.

  40. Sori Yarbrough says:

New romance novels, red wine, a good take out dinner and a comfy chair with good light.
