The Words Move Me Celebration and Giveaway Winners

After reading through 1000+ entries at Words Move Me, I’ve developed an extensive reading wish list (dammit) and have picked the two winners for the Sony Pockets (yay!). Sony USA provided me with two, and without further ado, here are the winners:

One Sony Pocket will go to SueSuex for this entry that summed up many, many romances in one scene.

And the other will go to Shaina Maydel for an entry from Anne Michaels’ Fugitive Pieces.

Winners: please email me at sarahATsmartbitchestrashybooksDOTcom with your name and mailing address, and put Sony Pocket Winner in the subject line. Congratulations – and thank you to everyone who entered. The depth and expanse of your reading experience is astounding and I’m so pleased (though a little cross-eyed but that’s normal) to have read through your favorites. Stay tuned for more giveaways and fun stuff for the rest of the month.

Good gravy—that was a lot of reading Sarah!  Thanks for the contest—very fun. =)

    Congratulations winners!

I’m glad one is from my favorite historical romance. Rupert Carsington (even if half the time I cannot for the life of me remember his name) is one of my favorite heroes, and Daphne rocks like so much…stones.

Though I wasn’t able to read all the quotes (cause my eyes say ow), I too found some new authors.

  6. Mama Nice says:

That Loretta Chase quote caught my eye last night – and made me want to read that book!

  7. Mama Nice says:

    Oh, and congrats winners!!!

  8. SueSuex says:

I won!  I can’t believe it!  I never win anything.  Thanks so much Sony, Sarah, SBTB and Loretta Chase!  I can’t wait to start my e-book collection!

  9. Kim Adams says:

Great quotes!  Actually, Mr. Impossible is my favorite book from Loretta Chase (I’m not a member of the Lord of Scoundrels fan club).
I enjoyed her Carsington family related books.

And the Anne Michaels quote is very moving.

Mama Nice: I would definitely suggest Mr. Impossible. I am an extremely picky historical romance reader, and that book hooked me, and made me give the whole sub-genre a huge re-look. IMHO it is the best of Loretta Chase’s books, and Loretta Chase is one of my favorite historical romance authors.

Kim Adams: Me either. When people ask me for a historical romance book, I usually say most people prefer LOS, but I personally think Mr. Impossible is SO much better. (The same thing happens for other authors. Like for Jennifer Crusie: Everybody raves about her Welcome to Temptation, and that is my least favorite Crusie, whereas I adored Faking It.)

    It’s a shame. I couldn’t find much to enter.

My sister took a stab at it, but she didn’t win.

Huh. It just occurred to me that if Sarah and Candy meet my sister Kelly, there’s going to be some fireworks happening. Nice girl. 12. Carrie Lofty says:

Mmmm…may have to go read Mr. Impossible now. <3 Rupert.

  13. Tina C. says:

Congratulations, winners!  You’re going to love your Readers!

  14. I AM SO EXCITED THANK YOUUUUUUUU! Everyone who loves poetic language should read Fugitive Pieces, it’s completely breathtaking.

I can’t wait to get my reader!!!
