Thanks for helping start my day with a snort of laughter!!!
I can tell you from 17 years of marriage-experience that a sense of humor will get them through many difficult times—what a darling couple. They should do quite well in life together. =)
I love the Princess Bride reference!
JoAnn Ross sent this out to a list I’m on so nods to JoAnn. 🙂
i was giggling at first, then I was kind of embarassed becuase that could SO be me one day, which hadn’t really figured into my dream wedding. But you know, Nicole S. is right, humor is one of the most important things to share with you loved one!
Okay, that was awesome and I’m totally jealous that nothing that funny happened at my wedding. I mean, Princess Bride quotes? How cool is that?!
A sense of humor can do more for a relationship than nearly anything. This couple has a great start, and thanks for jump starting my morning.
Videos like this make me think of all the bridezillas you see on tv./movies. I’d feel bad for them that they’ve wound themselves up in to a terrible state over their wedding that they can’t really enjoy it because they’re so stressed out, but they’re such raging @#$%^&* that it’s hard to do anything but be exasperated. I love seeing brides who are obviously enjoying the moment.
That was great. I’m getting married in a few days and I loved this. The planning is pretty much done and I’ve been in the mood to watch movies with weddings (even Grumpy Old Men) and forgot about The Princess Bride.
Fabulous! I love it.
Awesome. I could totally see me doing that. Except my whole family would eventually join in and we get LOUD! My family rules.
expected37: I expect 37 minutes of hilarity at my wedding.
Ha! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where the bride and groom asked the man performing the ceremony to open with the “Mawwaige. Mawwaige is wot bwings us togevar today” bit from the Princess Bride.
Only problem? The groom’s entire family is from Nicaragua, and TOTALLY didn’t get the reference. It was mostly me (and my Dad, from way in the back) guffawing, and from where I was standing I could see the complete and utter confusion on the faces of the groom’s guests. Priceless.
This is too cute! Thanks for starting my day with laughter! They’ll have a great marriage, hopefully.
Princess Bride yeah!
2nd reference to Princess Bride I’ve seen/heard today. I think I need to rewatch the movie tonight.
Also, between this and the dancing bridal party video from a few weeks ago and I almost want to get married just so I can actually have fun during a wedding ceremony.
I only know that the ‘waffles’ will be one of the stories that is told in that family forever. A friend of mine whose name is “Joelle” had a minister who called her ‘Jello” during the vows exchange, and I know she now is totally tickeled by it. (at the time…not so much)
This is great. Have any of you read the book The Princess Bride? It is without a doubt the funniest book I’ve ever read.
Okay, so first things first, Princess Bride refs FTW. Love love love both the book and the movie.
Secondly, oh my god, a bride with a sense of humour! Oh, that soothes my soul a little. I recently changed jobs (within the same store) and now I work in the Gift List department. Not a single day has gone by without a Bridezilla attack.
