BBAW: The Slate of Entries - Thanks to You

imageThanks to your responses for my request for help last week, I had a pile of entries to choose from, and not surprisingly, my list was very similar to yours. I really, truly appreciate knowing how much you enjoy the site, so thank you most of all for that.

Smart Bitches was nominated in five categories, and after thinking about it, I withdrew our nomination for “Best Romance Blog” because we won last year. Totally an honor. Woo! So I focused on the four categories as follows:

Most Humorous/Funniest Blog
Most Eclectic Taste Blog
Best Reviews
Most Collaborative Blog

Here are the links I submitted for each category, compiled at the request of many because they wanted to see the slate. Enjoy!

Most Collaborative Blog

I collaborate with so many people, it was hard to pick which ones best highlighted the awesomely super smart people who I’ve worked with in the last year to 18 months.

Obviously, there’s DocTurtle. DocTurtle Reviews Romance began in October 2008 and continues to the present, so I included two links.

2008, August
An Open Letter from SB Sarah (The DocTurtle Challenge)

2008, October- present
DocTurtle Reads Romance

Amazon Rank was a collaboration with pretty much the entire population of people online on Easter Sunday, I think.

2009, June

2009, August

2009, August

    Who says Bitches aren’t classy!?!

Spreadin’ the love by removing your name so other romance blogs have a chance at the title is made of win, and I think you did a great job sifting through all the awesomeness to pick just a few items -since this is the interwebs and not a stage performance,  instead of “Break A Leg” do I say “Break A Finger?”

It must have been so hard to choose just a small cross section from the awesomeness that is your ouevre; you did a wonderful job narrowing the nominations down to some of the true gems. I was thrilled to see Dhoc Tuhrtle appear there. If I wasn’t happily married I’d be after that man.  Mrs. Turhtle is a lucky woman (who probably laughs a lot!). Dhoc’s reviews make my day and, to me, justify the existence of the BDB books. (I made it through one and it had no literary value to me even as mild entertainment. But as comedic fodder…)

Good luck…you’re sure to come home with another award this year!

    Yay! The penis sword blog!!

  4. AmandaG says:

Please add this to your Best Of so people (including myself since I don’t have time right now) can look at them in the future.

  5. SB Sarah says:

    Hi Amanda: Done!

  6. It seems to be great…I don’t believe romance or chilvalry is dead. I still get doors opened for me everyday, but both my own man and others.
