Candy was fun and funny, and Bosoms were signed. The Bay Books supply of used romance novels was also somewhat depleted by the time we were done, but it’s a healthy supply and withstood our onslaught.
I now have TWO copies (one to lend, one to keep). I am plotting how to get SB Sarah’s signature next….(insert evil plotting laughter here).
Hearing Candy read out loud from Beyond Heaving Bosoms is total icing 🙂 and the book is the cake. It should come with a warning: subliminal exercise may ensue because you’re reading a passage and then you have to tear off to your keeper shelves to track down the exact quote or log into your fave online bookstore so you can put a book on order.
Just a great “insider baseball” book—like I’m dying to have my mum do the “Do the Bullshit Regency Terms” quiz because it’s awesomely accurate. I confess to not keeping track of how badly I did! … if you guys get a chance to go to a booksigning, go for it. Gah, the agony! The Bitches were in DC at a conference two weekends ago when I was not, and the weekend I followed them there, Candy came to my neck of the woods and I had to miss her for a DC conference of my own!
I sent friends, and have been complaining to all who’ll listen that I suggested the venue and then couldn’t come.
(The conference was pretty awesome, though, and I got to see the library of congress, so I’m not complaining too loudly).
Jocelyn, a good time was had. Thanks for suggesting the venue, because I got some good bargains as well as my Candy fix.
