Friday Videos Validate You

This is a 16 minute short film about validation – featuring TJ Thyne from “Bones,” whom I adore. It’s a long one, but it’s worth it. Even the music is wonderful.

Wow! You guys are great. You know that? Do you know how amazing this site is? I mean, you bring together millions of people with snark, with a love of luurrve, with a desire to see the world a better, happier reading place, a place where we can haz r book and enjoy it too and celebrate it in all its clinch cover, man-titty, in-ur-ass-savin’-ur-life, heaving bosom awesomness. You make romance readers proud. You take on the sterotypes. You prove that what we write matters. That’s amazing!

Which reminds me of a favorite quote up on my office wall:
“Remember: The people who make a difference in life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money or the most awards. They are the ones that care.” – Anon.

Aw, crap. Now I’m all sniffly.

You all are equally amazing, making the conversations more fascinating and the fun more funny. What you write matters, and what you think matters. Without question.

She worked at the DMV, but couldn’t find him?!

Nice though—totally have a Thyne crush. (Angela is an idiot.)

Wow, that was amazing.  Made me all sniffly, in a good way.

My kids and I joke that the reason I use my debit card for shopping is that it feels so good to have the little machine say “approved”—everyone needs a dose of approval now and then.

That was AMAZING!!!  Thanks for sharing that!

P.S. Did anyone else catch the James Haven (aka Angelina Jolie’s creepy kissing brother) cameo?

I was once at a therapist’s office with my parking ticket, and I took it to the receptionist.  She told me, “We don’t validate.”  I answered, “That’s why I’m here.”  She didn’t get it.

Which reminds me of when I was at a game arcade and there was a booth with the sign REDEMPTION over it.  I thought if it was just a matter of winning at Skee-Ball to receive redemption, I’d be all over that.

Also—I used to work at a bookstore, and was quite tempted to be a smart ass whenever people asked where the Self Help section was.  And that segues into me once seeing a Depression For Dummies book.

Happy Friday!  It’s been a rough week.

I just watched this again and I’m pretty sure the woman with the “great cheekbones” is Patsy from the “Don’t Be a Patsy” PSAs.

This was cute, but they should have had him become a shepherd in Walesat the end.  Spamword is worked84, as in “He worked for 84 days to make her smile.”

    Oh TJ Thyne *Heart sigh*

This was Great.  Awesome! This just made my day.

I am having my 15 year old Basenji dog, Fiona, put to sleep tomorrow due to a huge tumor in her stomach that has caused her intestines and lungs to be compressed. It was discovered on Thursday. The vet gave me this last weekend to spend with her… and I really needed a cute pick-me up to break up the doldrums. Thanks for sharing this video!
