Today is Library Lovers’ Day in Australia – well, sort of. by the time this goes live it will be Feb 14 in Australia. Either way, wherever you are, in the land of Oz, authors, readers, and librarians celebrate all things awesome about your local Aussie library. Sponsed by the Australian Library and Information Association, the Library Lovers’ Day has its own website – and has left me with a serious yen to travel all those hours to party down under in the libraries.
Yeah, wouldn’t that be my trip: after years and years of wanting to visit Australia, I’ll go and… spend all my time rolling around in glee in the library. Beaches? What beaches? Wiggles? No way – BOOKS!

Authors are totally getting into it, as Bronwyn Parry told me. She’s driving 150km each way to visit libraries in her region of Australia. Go Bron Go!
