Books On Sale

Free EBook Alert!

Here’s a twist on the free/cheap ebook trend.

LBF Books is giving away the first 25 copies of the ebook of LeeAnn Burke’s Deadly Secrets today. Proceeds of the print book order will be donated to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.

What totally tickles me about this book is the name of the heroine: Roxanne St-Clair. Whoa! Seems that Burke wrote the first draft of this book over 10 years ago, long before she knew of the Other Roxanne St. Clair. Seems the Other Roxanne is down with the name thing.

Mad props to Burke and to LBF for donating proceeds to the ABCF.

I got one!  Yay for freeebooks, and for donations to the ABCF.  I will read book over the weekend; if I enjoy it, I will buy print copies for a couple of people and spread the joy (and contribute to breast cancer research).

    Thanks, SB Sarah!

Thanks.  First time I’ve ever managed to “win” one.

Cheques in the mail to the Cancer Society.

  3. Am so totally down with it.  And GO LBF for a great promo.  I can’t wait to read all about the *other* Roxanne St. Clair(e)!

Awesome, I actually managed to get one.

Thanks for the link, and kudos to LeeAnn Burke and LBF for giving the proceeds to the ABCF.

Great cause. I’ve downloaded it. First five pages in, and already gazes are a clashing and words are spoken harshly, whole sentences are sighed, and the hero rocks angry jade eyes. Lots of fun ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Sarah & Smart Bitches,

Thanks you so much for posting about the free ecopies for my first book. You made my day/week with this post. I was thrilled to discover the sponsored free ebooks were downloaded in less than 2 hours. Actually LBF Books let a few more than 25 go for free.

I hope everyone enjoys their copy and I’m sorry for those who didn’t get a free copy. The ABCF has been fabulous to work with. I am very proud to be one of their sponsors with LBF Books.

    Thanks again!

Late to the party, but that is no surprise.

Their site does not say what ereader formats they support. anyone have a clue?

  10. Leeann Burke says:

Ev, I believe they only have PDF at the moment. There will be more versions once the title goes up at Fictionwise.

Hello, I need a romance novel readers expertise for an online dating profile I am doing. In short, I want to post an excerpt of a really intriguing scene of the “friction” that exists between a man and a women when they actually notice each other but BEFORE they have actually met. Something like where the guy is confidently staring into the woman’s eyes and beginning his approach, and the woman is excited yet nervous, etc….I think you know where I am going with this. Any recommendations or excerpts you can refer me to are greatly appreciated!
