ooooo…..Daniel Craig in shower, first thing in the morning. That’s a nice wake up!!

Loved the montage- lots of my favorite scenes in there.

    Hedgehogs are cuties!!

  2. Cat Marsters says:

I do love that shower scene from Casino Royale.  It made Bond a whole lot more human, and more than a little adorable.

Spamfilter: greater69.  Oh no, not in the same breath as Daniel Craig, it’s too much!

  3. Michele says:

I liked the Daniel Craig moment (of course seeing him at any time is always good). But I also liked the bit from Lord of the Rings when Aragorn laid that kiss on Arwen. I remember when I saw that for the first time I almost wanted to jump out of my seat and go ‘YES!’.

This is a nice way to start a Friday.

  4. eaeaea says:

So many of my favorite leading men – Gerard Butler, Edward Norton, Daniel Craig, the Beast.
    *sigh*
Thanks SBs. You complete my Fridays.

  5. babz says:

Sigh. You just ruined my friday with wanting.

  6. Joanne says:

Beauty & The Beast; in a cartoon, book or movie…. it is THE romance theme I love most …
but lacking that: oh yeah, Daniel Craig, naked!

  7. thetechdiva says:

Aww thanks for the pick me up. Totally needed that.

  8. Silver James says:

Hedgehogs? Either my adblock ate that one or….?

As for the other? *swoon* Great way to start the day. And yeah. Daniel Craig. *swoon*

  9. Ri L. says:

Oh, now I need to go home and kiss my (future) husband, and it’s only 10:00. 🙁

  10. shaina says:

i’m with babz. you made me want a guy. and i dont really get one til next friday, now.
    roar.
it made me happy at the same time though, lots of my fave couples—mereder, aragorn, daniel craig, oh, izzy and denny :-(((…:-/

ha! my captcha is waiting27…yes, i’m waiting, but hopefully not until i’m 27! (i turn 21 tomorrow, waiting til 27 would be torture, lol!)

  11. Kendra says:

Thanks!  I know they are movie couples, but it makes you believe that there is love out there.  Going to smooch on the dh tonight.

Spamfilter: had32 — wonder what I had 32 of “lmao”

  12. Victoria Dahl says:

Damn you, Sarah! You stole one of my soundtrack songs!!!

Seriously, I LOVE that song. Mm. Her voice is deeelish.

  13. Lara says:

Best vid ever. Faramir and Eowyn! Aragorn and Eowyn! Lizzie and Darcy! Luke and Lorelai! Yay!

  14. Jessica says:

Yay!  “10 Things I hate About You”, “Casablanca” and Daniel Craig, all before breakfast!  The Brandi Carlile didn’t hurt, either.  She’s the best thing to come from my hometown.

  15. Anya says:

Aww, I’m feeling all teary now.  I’m such a sucker for these rousing emotional crescendos.  Of course, now the programmer is giving me the “you’re so cute, but cheesy” look.  And anything with Daniel Craig…and why oh why was Moonlight canceled…

  16. Carrie Lofty says:

See, that kisses vid would be a lot more inspiring if it didn’t contain such a huge proportion of dead characters. I see Satine and Christian and get weepy. Bond and Vesper, weepy. Tommy and Izzy, weepy—holy shit, Hugh Jackman crying should not be allowed! It’s murderous! And these days, I see Heath Ledger and just bawl. I need more unabashedly happy kisses like in Love, Actually or Northanger Abbey or North & South.

  17. SB Sarah says:

Ah yes, Carrie, but in the words of Dylan Thomas, “Though lovers be lost love shall not; and death shall have no dominion.”

  18. Wendy says:

I will be watching this over and over.  Goodness that was enjoyable.  And just when I think I’m not the biggest sap in the world I realize I have seen the vast majority of these movies.  And I think the best lyrics-clip match up in the whole thing—the super squee for me—was the Batman/Catwoman.  “They don’t know my head is a mess.  They don’t know who I really am…”  Brilliantly done.
And that moment from Last of the Mohicans when Alice pitches off the cliff after Uncas.  *le sigh*  I actually think it’s Cora’s reaction after this that kills me the most, but still…I love that whole scene.

    Thanks!!

  19. Evie says:

No hedgepigs to be seen but the kissing movie made my day!

::start78:: Yes because it’s time to get started writing not sitting here procrastinating!

  20. MaryKate says:

What is it about Matthew MacFadyen striding across that field with his great coat billowing? Every single time I give the big swoony sigh.

  21. romantic moments + baby hedgehogs = completely devastating

  22. Gemma says:

    In the montage… what’s the Regency-looking film at 2:50-2:55???

Also, the hedgepigs video worked for me, so try again folks.

  23. ev says:

Ok, I have to share this because I am going to burst and since we just had all those wonderful scenes today it is appropo.

MY DAUGHTER WAS ACCEPTED INTO FILM SCHOOL IN CA!!!!!!!

I am so happy for her I could burst and here I am stuck at work. grrrrrrrrrr

  24. mingqi says:

^congrats ev! =D I’m happy for you and your daughter!

and the couples video was so sweet and the song was wonderful.  Times like these makes me wish I have a boyfriend.

  25. SonomaLass says:

@Gemma: The film you don’t recognize is the most recent BBC adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion.  You can read about it here.  I still prefer the Amanda Root-Ciaran Hinds version, just as I prefer the BBC mini-series version of Pride and Prejudice to the Keira Knightley one featured in the montage.

Some nice moments, but I agree, a lot of sad.  Batman and Catwoman, wow.  A great moment, if not at all HEA.

@ev:  Congrats! that’s terrific news; good films programs are very competitive.  Wish your daughter much luck!

  26. Tina C. says:

Loved the montage!  My husband, who is admittedly the more sappily romantic of the two of us when it comes to things like that, introduced me to that song about 3 or 4 months ago.  It’s his favorite.  I’ve seen at least 90% of them in their original form and I enjoyed them all (even if it’s sad to see Heath these days).  My favorite is the clip from P. S. I Love You—so funny and loving and sad.  One of the few movies that I just bawled through and still loved.

Oh, and congrats on your daughter’s good news, Ev!

  27. ev says:

Thanks guys! I am just so happy/sad, I could cry. I probably will.

She is going to be so far away, it will make me crazy. But this is what she wants and I refuse to stand in her way.

I am taking her to Salem, MA tomorrow to celebrate!!

  28. Susan/DC says:

And the montage even had a scene from my favorite TV show, “Pushing Daisies”, so gotta love it.  Lee Pace is my newest younger man heartthrob.

  29. Carrie Lofty says:

Sarah wrote: Ah yes, Carrie, but in the words of Dylan Thomas, “Though lovers be lost love shall not; and death shall have no dominion.”

Yes, because Dylan Thomas will make me sob less?? Damn poets and their universal truths! Give me something unapologetically heart-fluttering every time: “I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest.”—Beatrice, Much Ado.

  30. Datagirl says:

Gee, thanks. I’m generally a sappy romantic but I agree with the other two. Kinda made me miss my finaceé even more (and I’ve had a pretty rough week) and he isn’t able to visit until Nov. 15. (Five hour separate us at the moment).

Though, that had a lot of my fave movies which I’m slowly exposing him to…haha.

Hedgehogs = MAJOR ADORABLE. That picked me up after the depressing mood I felt from the kissing.

    Love the Friday Videos. 🙂

  31. Kell says:

Wow, that was wonderful.  Could someone tell me the title and artist of the song?  I’ve been trying to find it for over a month 🙁

  32. EmmyS says:

What was that song? I love it!

  33. amy lane says:

*sigh*  My daughter and I got all weepy—thanks guys!

  34. SB Sarah says:

Yes, because Dylan Thomas will make me sob less?? Damn poets and their universal truths! Give me something unapologetically heart-fluttering every time: “I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest.”—Beatrice, Much Ado.

*le sigh.* And my fave from the same play: “I do love nothing in the world so well as you: is not that strange?”

  35. Morgan says:

Somebody should tell the montage-maker that non-whites kiss sometimes, too!
