  2. Gemma says:

Ack. I didn’t manage to finish this one. I absolutely loved some of JQ’s earlier books but I think it might be time I stopped glomming her. :/

  3. Tae says:

Gemma I agree.  I love me some Julia Quinn, but I didn’t think this was her best work

Wait six months then try the book again.  I bought it the minute it hit the stands but didn’t even get halfway through before I set it aside and never got back to it.  Started it over again months later and enjoyed it.  It’s not my favorite of hers, but I think it also suffered from the dreaded “expectations set too high.”

Oh my, Yes!  JQ.  Oh yes.  Well deserved.

  6. Jo Bourne says:

Oh my yes!  Way to go, JQ.  Well deserved.

How awesome! I haven’t read the others, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I just finished “A Night to Surrender,” and quite liked it. The ARC for “A Lady by Midnight,” was fab as well. I love the way she writes her characters’ internal monologues.

Woo Hoo!  I loved the book so I am happy it won.

It would have been madness to give it to anyone else.
