I’d like to thank the Bitchery. Without You, I’d have never been able to hone my internet balls enough to post much online. So here’s to You, Bitchery. Stay bitchin’.

And many thanks to Ann, whose writing rocks out with the stars out.

  2. SonomaLass says:

Can I please change my profile name to WanderSlut?  That handle totally rocks!

    So here’s the scoop.

I’ve been in touch with most of the winners. There were only one or two I didn’t get through to in some fashion yesterday.

I’ve already MAILED 18 of these bad boys.

There are seven winners who have yet to contact me. I won’t be sending anymore emails. I won’t be re-drawing names. If these seven winners don’t contact me before July 21 when I leave town, I’ll just take these arcs with me and give them away at the BBQ rendezvous, Comic Con, RWA in SF, and in Denver at WorldCon (assuming I have any left by then, which I highly doubt).

So that’s the deal. I’m not a PI, and I won’t try a second time to get in touch with the winners. It’s posted here. I sent emails. My work is done.

Congrats to all the winners. Those were some seriously kick-ass names. When (if?), no when I get the deal for Jax books five and six. I will for sure be compiling a list of my favorites that were suggested here. In fact, I may use some of these for book six. So don’t be surprised if you guys wind up naming them both.

Thanks so much for the wicked huge response. I feel like the wallflower who finally got noticed by the hot football player, only to realize she really belongs with the sexy long-haired emo poet. That’s how happy I am right now.

    Congrats to the winners!

Ann,If they don’t get back to you,you can send one to me 😀 I won’t be making it out to CA until after ComicCon and RWA 🙁

Have a swwet trip an d I look forward to the pictures.

    Hugs, Danette

  5. Ocy says:

Really?  Wow, I’ve never won anything like that before.  Thank you so much!  I’m excited now, can you tell? 😉

  6. Ann Aguirre says:

Winners update… there are only four folks left who have not contacted me. This is lightspeed for most contests, so major props to the motivated winners.

  7. mirain says:

You know what would be an even better title than “Wanderslut”?
“Wonderslut!” With the exclamation point as part of the title.
Maybe it could be a take-off (pun intended) of those recent comic-book inspired chick-lits, like “Ultra” and “Karma Girl”.

  8. Wryhag says:

Some day, maybe, I will get this shit right (and quit blaming my boyfriend’s mother).

    Congrats to all the winners!

  9. Chicklet says:

Someone totally needs to write Wanderslut and WonderSlut. I’m just sayin’.

  10. Ann Aguirre says:

Believe it or not, there’s only ONE person left who hasn’t sent in her contact information. I’m totally impressed with the response time. I’ve had contests straggle on for weeks before. Clearly, SmartBitch readers are superior in all ways.

  11. I’m the late one. [blush] Curse you, grad school, for distracting me from my blog-reading time!

Thanks, and congrats to the other winners!  This is so cool.  I haven’t won anything since those New Kids On The Block tickets back when I was 11.

  12. Ann Aguirre says:

Huzzah! This contest is a wrap. In three short days, I’ve gotten all the addresses… 18 parcels are mailed. 7 are on my desk, waiting to go out this afternoon.

Thanks so much to everyone for their uber-good ideas.

  13. mearias says:

Damn, I was so hoping you would have to bring to dinner in NYC 😉  Congrats to all the winners.
