Friday Videos Say It’s My Birthday

To celebrate all things me, here are two of my favorite YouTube videos of the moment, and a new one that cracked me up hard. Yay! Happy Friday the 13th, y’all! What’s your favorite? Share share!

First: what do you get when you cross Avenue Q with World of Warcraft? A video that still cracks me up like cheeze crackers no matter how many times I watch it. Note: not entirely work safe, but really, is any video?

Have I ever mentioned that I have a weakness for Bollywood videos? I do. This is Aishwarya Rai in Bunti aur Babali, dancing to Alisha Chinai singing Kajra Re. I could watch this over and over. In fact, I do. I have the song on my iPod. It’s long as hell but I totally dig it.

And finally, I just received this from Soni: ToeJam featuring David Byrne, and an Utterly Not Safe For Work OMGPLS 70’s naked party – with way too much fun on the censoring. Pong?! I nearly fell off my chair. ETA: Fixed – new link!

Loved that Bollywood video. If you like that, you might like a group called Drala. “Seven Yogis Spinning” is a freaking fantastic song.

    Happy Birthday!

There once was a Smart Bitch named Sarah,
hated covers with models like Farrah.
    “Eighties’ hair and mantitty?
    It’s a craptastic pity
for a Regency called,  Chasing Clara.”

    Happy Birthday, Sarah!

  11. Malin says:

Shaina, thanks for that link to the Helsinki Complaints Choir. Loved it! Must get me a copy of the soundtrack.

  18. Sarah Frantz says:

You share a birthday with my mother!  Fabulous!

This is my favorite YouTube video.

  19. ev says:

Sarah- I just spent an hour looking at clips!! I had to add that one to my facebook. What is it about men in breeches and boots and top hats? Never mind, i think I just answered my own question.

  20. Taylor Reynolds says:

Happy Birthday, Sarah! Thanks for the clips as gifts to us 😉

  21. Leslie H says:

Happiest of birthdays and many happy returns!

  22. amy lane says:

You and the yarn harlot, Sarah—it must have been one hell of an astrological alignment!!!  Happy Birthday!  And thanks for the presents!  The Toe Jam video was totally hilarious!!!! (I’d seen the WoW one before—but that song NEVER gets old!)

  23. Rhea says:

My current YouTube fave is “Indian Thriller”. Discovered it on a slow night at work, and I think we woke all our patients with laughter. And of course, we’ve got the dance down…

  24. Esri Rose says:

My favorite is still “10 Things I Hate About Commandments,” a remix trailer for The Ten Commandments, set to the music of The Ramones.

  25. Mary M. says:

A belated Happy Birthday!! I love Bollywood movies and songs. My fav Indian movie would probably be Krrish. Gorgeous half-naked, buff Hrithik Roshan?? I’m so there! And he dances like a god. I can watch his intro dance scene in Dhoom 2 again and again. I’m crazy about that hip move of his when he says “Dhoom Machale” *grinning at the thought*. OK, I’m a bit of a fangirl :-D.

My favorite youtube video would be this one:

Given the fact that sport is the only “valid” excuse for men to touch each other, I always thought that video was hilarious.

  26. A belated happy birthday, Sarah (it was mine as well).
