Showing Off

Megan Daly, winner of the Big Kahuna Cover Design Contest, Professional Division, actually sent in two entries, and had to choose which one she wanted us to run for the contest. Her choice ultimately won, but I have to say, I LOVE the other entry, and asked her permission to show it off here. Note to publishers: Poser = not hot. This cover? Hawt, baby, yeah.

Not so work safe, so it’s below the fold:

I don’t think that would make it to a bookstore near me but boy would it sell.

    Hot Crossed Buns indeed.

Wow!  This gal’s got talent, and I hope the publisher’s figure that out real soon.

Is it hot in here, or is just that cover? Michele is right: it would sell. I can’t believe more publishers (especially epublishers) haven’t figured out yet that stock photography is so much better than Poser. Yeesh.

Nice work, Megan! (Also, a giant “Heeeee!” for using “Emma Holy” as the author!)

I’ve never had such a strong urge to lick my computer screen, but hoo damn, that body is all sorts of puuurty!  The only thing that would make it better would be beads of water dripping down to run down the front of his chest…uhhh…I need to go, er, somewhere…

That cover is extraordinary, both of them were. And I’m such a dope, I thought, “Wow, how do you like that? There really is a book out there with a gay/religious theme. How great that Emma Holly wrote it and maybe Borders will have it.”

Must get out more or start paying attention.

Dude!  I so want to read this book *NOW*!  Not only is it a completely awesome cover, but the text is intriguing enough to want to entice into giving the book a look-see.  WOW!

laurad: Don’t know about poster size (life size, anyone?) but if you’d like I can send you the desktop wallpaper(s) I used for one or either of the guys featured on the cover. Just send me an email and specify which guy(s).

    Too funny.
