  1. Madd says:

I would so love that bracelet, but I know better than to try for it. I couldn’t write a review to save my life. :/

  2. Sam says:

I don’t think I could either.  I am, apparently, a philistine and haven’t read the majority of those books.

    Sam…

  3. dl says:

Dare I confess to banning “Captain Underpants” from our home?  It inspired inappropriate behavior in our boys.  Also banned until the teen years were Poke Mon the game and The Little Mermaid, due undesirable behavior.

  4. Those bracelets are very very tempting…

    Spam word: language89

Yes, books are banned for language…

  5. Gwynnyd says:

Must we use the 1990 – 2000 list of books, or may we review any of the ones on the 2007 brochure?

    http://www.ila.org/pdf/2007banned.pdf

The current list has “DaVinci Code” and “Sex Kittens and Horn Dogs Fall in Love”.  Reviewable or not, I may have to read that one.

  6. Jen C says:

I sent in a review, but I still want to buy a bracelet or twenty, because those are awesome.  Is there is a site to buy those at, or did you guys somehow make them yourselves?

  7. The bracelets are available on the same site as the list – http://www.ala.org/ala/oif/bannedbooksweek/bannedbooksweek.htm

Thinking of buying a couple myself. My daughter would dearly love to wear Captain Underpants on her person…

  8. Stephanie says:

I just sent one!  I hope it’s not too late.  Those are awesome bracelets.

  9. Jen C says:

Thanks, Jenyfer Matthews, I hadn’t seen that.

  10. Maya says:

    hi,
asked in 2 places, haven’t heard back – what’s the deadline? i’m assuming it’s to coincide with the end of bookweek.

  11. Dragonette says:

    hey that bracelet’s really cool!

  12. Stephanie says:

I am such a sucker for funky jewelry. Let the reviewing begin!

  13. Angel says:

Oh, I am struck by lust for those bracelets! Book cover art as jewelry? Awesome!

    Maya,

I went and looked at the original post, and the deadline seems to be Oct. 6.

Ack, I’ve got to hurry and make time for banned book reviewing! 🙂
