It’s a bird! It’s a Plane! It’s…DAVID HASSELHOFF!

Suppose you have no weekend plans. Usually this is me – I plan little, but this weekend we have many an appointment which means Freebird will be feeling puny and we’ll end up cancelling everything.

But lucky for me, and for you if you have no plans or a toddler or both, there’s Something To Do!

“What’s that?” I can hear you asking your monitor aloud.  You’re on the edge of your seat? What possible item could be so grand that Smart Bitches would not only talk about but also offer it for download?

Why, it’s a paper airplane of David Hasselhoff’s head, of course.

No really. We’re not kidding. (*right click to download*)

How could it be anything else? Thanks to Stephanie Gayle, a Hofftastic paper airplane, designed to promote his Hoffobiographyâ„¢ (Candy thought that up) can be yours, all yours, the preciousssss.

Just think of the possibilities. You can download it now, print it out, and fly it around your office on a Friday afternoon. You can bring it home and fly it all weekend, amusing your friends and family with your Hoff-flying skillz.

In fact, if you have a picture of yourself flying your little Hoff this weekend, send it our way via email ( candy @ smartbitchestrashybooks.com or sarah @ smartbitchestrashybooks.com )with your screen name and a caption. Hofftastic airplanes and Smart Bitches, after all, are world wide and unspeakably awesome.

*shudder* can you imagine that thing sailing at you?

but seriously…. it needs little chest hairs glued to the undercarriage, to make the picture complete.

  2. Dang!Another marketing opportunity I’ve let pass me by.

  3. Scotsie says:

Seriously, you guys, that’s the funniest fraking thing I’ve seen in a LONG time.  I sent it to all my coworkers and now there are HoffPlanes flying all over the staff area and reading room.  Who said Harvard librarians were stuffy?!

  4. Mel-O-Drama says:

HOFFplanes are already flying around our office as we speak! Thank you for making my Friday even more HOFFtastic than it already was…

  5. I have to admit that a limitless supply of paper and lighters in this house have enabled me to repeatedly send the Hoff crashing to the floor in flames.  What bliss! What will they think up next?  Maybe one with….oh, I don’t know….the faces of leading members of the Moral Majority?  *snort!*

  6. Arin Rhys says:

That may just haunt my dreams…

    🙂

  7. Rachel says:

    God!
Why do I have to be paper-airplane-manufacturing-skills deficient?  The instructions are really bad(or maybe that’s just me) and offer no help.
I just balled up my HOFFplane-in-progress because I couldn’t make it work.  Anyone have any helpful tips?  I’m willing to try again

  8. Carrie Lofty says:

At the bottom of the directions, it has the logo for St. Martin’s Press, which I assume is publishing the book. Did I just have too high an opinion of their organization??

  9. Charlene says:

So you make me spend the entire morning making Hoff planes instead of writing?

You bitches HAVE gone too far!

  10. Rhys says:

I’m a lit professor at a state university (so sorry.) And can I just say….I effing love this blog. What a brilliant idea.

Ah, thank the good Lordylord for Literary Trash. Have to balance out all that forced reading of James Joyce somehow.

  11. Ines says:

Wow! I already have my Hof-plane in my laptop. I seriously considered taking the photograph, but … it is black mail material! xDD Well, I’ll leave you for my botany final exam.
I’m looking forward the next thing that you come upon!!

  12. dl says:

    …..speechless….and flaming Hoffplanes?…

Maybe somebody needs to set up a website that would attach your/any picture to a paper airplane?

  13. Cori says:

Hee, I didn’t actually print out and fly the plane, but I did spend all weekend sending the link to my friends and watching their horrified reactions. That was every bit as fun. Thanks for the weekend activity, bitches!

  14. I want a video of the flaming Hoffplane crashing and burning.  That is teh awesome.
