It’s a response to the anti-gay rhetoric of Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum created by sex columnist Dan Savage. In response to Santorum’s statements about homosexuality, Savage created a contest to name a disgusting sexual term after Santorum.

It was kind of amusing watching Savage’s columns for the various suggestions for what “santorum” should be. I seem to recall that I had something else I thought beat the “frothy mix” thing, but now I can’t remember what it was for the life of me. Oh well.
Congratulations to Jay: it’s always fun to add another member to the Royal SB Family because it means there’s someone new to compare tiaras and sceptors and vacation plans for the Riviera with, and discuss strategies for staying out of sight of the paparazzi and like things of that nature. Ahem – did I reveal too much there of the fabulousness of having a SB title? Anyway, I haven’t seen our crest or official lineage chart or Latin motto yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until that gets sorted out.
