Come and Set me Free, Baby

You know the drill: hook me up with author, title, and character’s name, and if you’re the first correct answer, you get yourself a Smart Bitch title.

Come and Set Me Free, Baby

Mild-manned antique-fiend, underwhelmed with herself, though most would kill to be her size, seeks man locked in a box of someone else’s making to unleash her desires and emotions. I will follow the right man through past, future, and parallel worlds.

What happened if I – a previous winner – reveal the answer to this?

Punishment? Death? Torture, e.g. throw me into a room that is filled with bad cover art? Force me to read a Very, Very Bad Romance Novel 1,000 times?

  2. cw says:

    Or, you get two titles.

    *rubs hands in glee*

  3. Sarah says:

Nah, past titled winners should cheer quietly and respectfully from the Smart Bitch box seats. Violation means, well, you won’t want to know.

  4. Garianne says:

Is it “The Pleasure Slave” and the character is Julia Anderson?

    Gari

  5. gari says:

Ooohh… and the author’s name is Gena Showalter.

    Gari

  6. Sarah says:

Word Up! We have a winnah!

  7. RomaBabe says:

Crap – I actually knew this one!

sigh. Maybe next time. I gotta win something since I am not hitting the right lottery numbers.

  8. HelenKay says:

I know who Gena Showalter is and have visited her site – what do I get for that?

That may be as close as I ever get to guessing one of these.

  9. booksquare says:

I know Gena Showalter personally…does that count (she’s tall, thin, and gorgeous—if she wasn’t such a !@#$ nice person, I’d hate her)? I actually had the privilege of reading (and offering helpful comments (g)) on this book. Yeah, it’s the first time I’ve ever guessed right, and someone beats me!

  10. Nicole says:

I still need to read this book.  It’s sitting on my shelf along with the other one.

  11. Sarah says:

Gena Showalter was kind enough to send me a copy of her book at PC Cast’s prodding, and it was a genuinely fun, light-hearted book with a scrumpy hero.

My only problem was a heroine who thought poorly of her body and turned out to be a very eviable dress size. But otherwise? Yum.

  12. Nicole says:

Might have to read it sometime soon.

  13. Bam says:

Damn… this is the first one I actually knew.

Ah, there’s always a next time.

  14. Jaynie R says:

LMAO – one day you guys will post one of these in the middle of the night your time and I’ll actually be awake *g*
